I have a question for NY State Supreme Court Justice Martin Murphy, how do you sentence a man with a 2 year prison term when he is found guilty of molesting more children than even Jerry Sandusky? 2 years, and probably less time served for good behavior. I wonder if his honor would hand down such a lenient sentence had his son been the one that was violated by this sick animal. Andrew Goodman almost got off with this slap in the wrist sentence too.
Enter the feds and United States Attorney Loretta E. Lynch. As a judge had already tried Goodman on the state charges, the feds had to find a way to get him on a federal offense. Well, one of the things he did during his child molesting rampage was transport one of his victims “across state lines” had sex with them and then went to watch a Kid Rock concert. Oops, guess what that means you sick animal, now it’s a federal offense. 10 years minimum prison sentence and a maximum sentence of life in prison. “GOTCHA B*TCH!”
We at NYCTalking (particularly me) love it when a sick, child molesting animal like this one get what they deserve. Two years? Are you kidding me? Judge Murphy should be tried himself for handing down such a ridiculous sentence.
“We don’t want to have a long trial because it will make the victims suffer”, meanwhile the victims had there hands up and were saying “No, don’t worry, we suffered already, try him, please try him, even if it’s a long painful trial.” The pleas for justice fell on death ears and this scumbag would be back on the streets if not for the feds.
I’m glad the feds stepped in and took this guy down! Thank you for looking out for our children! This man deserves to be in prison forever, he showed no remorse and even had the audacity to mouth the words “I love you” to one of his victims during the trial. Sick animal. I’m glad they got you, and I hope they put you in with the general population, we know how those guys feel about child molesters and rapist.
Note: This is an open website, visible to viewers of any age. As such I have controlled my language. But please feel free to replace the word “animal” with any colorful profane word of your choice.
Below is the official press release for the charges as seeing on the justice.gov site!. Woot Woot!
BROOKLYN MAN CHARGED WITH TRANSPORTING A MINOR IN INTERSTATE COMMERCE TO ENGAGE IN SEXUAL ACTIVITY
Defendant Allegedly Took Victim to Atlantic City
A complaint was unsealed this morning in federal court in Brooklyn charging Andrew Goodman with transporting a minor in interstate commerce to engage in sexual activity.1 Goodman’s initial appearance is scheduled later today before United States Magistrate Judge Cheryl L. Pollak, at the U.S. Courthouse, 225 Cadman Plaza East, Brooklyn, New York.
The charge was announced by Loretta E. Lynch, United States Attorney for the Eastern District of New York, and Janice K. Fedarcyk, Assistant Director-in-Charge, Federal Bureau of Investigation, New York Field Office.
As alleged in the complaint, in February 2010, Goodman traveled with the then 15-year-old victim to Atlantic City, New Jersey. While there, Goodman sexually abused the victim in a hotel room.
“The prevention of sexual exploitation of children is a priority of this office,” stated United States Attorney Lynch. “Those who would take advantage of children are on notice that they will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.” Ms. Lynch extended her grateful appreciation to District Attorney Charles J. Hynes and the Kings County District Attorney’s Office for their assistance in this case.
FBI Assistant Director-in-Charge Fedarcyk stated, “Those who sexually exploit children will be held to justice for all the crimes they commit under both federal and local laws. In this case, Mr. Goodman allegedly transported a minor across state lines with the intent to sexually abuse a child. The FBI and our law enforcement partners remain committed to protecting children from predators.”
If convicted, the defendant faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years’ imprisonment and a maximum of life imprisonment.
The government’s case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Tyler Smith.
