If you didn’t see combat, you didn’t serve the nation.

Recently, I came across one of the most ignorant statements I have ever read. According to this genius, if you didn’t see combat, you didn’t serve the nation. He was intent on attacking me, but in the process, this buffoon of a human being insulted hundreds of thousands of American Service members who would lay their lives on the line for this country.

I was told that I didn’t provide context, and I misunderstood what was said. This is the exact post. Did I misunderstand?

You know, you know I had to address this dude on this matter. Service comes in many forms, and though I am aware that we are jerking each other off on Facebook, I decided to speak on this.

In addition to this I address a statement by someone who believes that I hate this country, has the nerve, audacity, and gall, to question my service to the nation.

What an idiot this guy sounded like. If you are in the armed forces, you served, period. Combat or not. Good for you on calling this guy out. Thank you for your service.
