You know, I’m not a religious person. Never have been, but I know crap when I see it. The jerk who made this piece of “art” work, was without a doubt trying to provoke Christians. “It’s just art,” SCREW YOU! “Freedom of speech,” SCREW YOU!
Some people claim freedom of speech, when it is to their benefit, but frown upon it when the views are not in line with their own. Once again, SCREW YOU!
The University Library Staff at Rutgers says they took it down because it didn’t follow some protocol in terms of what they are supposed to do when choosing artwork. However, I think that is them trying to save face, which I actually have a problem with. Here’s why…
I dare anyone to put up an image of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in that form. You and I both know, we KNOW that this would be taken down in a heartbeat. In fact, I don’t think it would ever make it up. But, since it’s not about Muslims, and about Christians, it’s okay?
It is not my intent to attack my Muslim brothers and sisters, but you cannot deny that there is a double standard when it comes to attacking Christians vs. Muslims. I’ve been guilty of it myself, and I have seen it many times.
Calling this artist on this crap is only right. We all know that this is pretty messed up. But hey, share your own thoughts on the matter, what do you think?
