North Bronx rapper Kennie Dubb has released his mixtape “Unsung Hero” today. As a fan of hip hop, I have been looking forward to this for sometime now. I first met Kennie at an Inspired Word open mic where he performed a couple of songs including “Only way up”. I connected with him online and have been watching his career since.
His music is as real as it gets, one point he makes on “Only way up” speaks about a truth that many of us know, he says that when you are starting at the bottom there is only one way you can go, and that way is up. Only way up.. Only way up.. Only way is up…
Kennie is one of the hardest working artists I know. Almost everyday you will see him posting pictures of himself performing at this venue, at that venue, at this event, at that event, the man stays busy and is always on his grind. Based on that work ethic, and the fact that he has a pretty damn good product, I can only see good things happening for Kennie Dubb.
