NYC Club for the 30 something year olds!

It’s not open yet, I’m sorry, I’m sorry. But, it’s in the works! Jeff Witels and his son are looking to create a spot for people who want to hear music from the 70s, 80s, and 90s. Do note, this club will not be exclusively for people 35 and older, you can come if you are younger, but it will cater to that age group musically.

This caught my attention, because that is the era I used to party, early 2000’s, and the music that was played was the music of those eras. I’ve been out of the party scene for quite a few years now, but I’d be terrified to go to a club and try to dance the way I used to.

See, I’ve gotten older, but the patrons of the clubs have not. So it is likely that I’d be in there with someone who is my baby sister’s age, and that’s kind of scary. Don’t get me wrong, I ain’t got nothing against the young folk, but at a time when you can’t tell how old someone is, and in an era of fake id’s, I’d rather go get my dance on where I’m more likely to find people my own age. Feel me?

The location will hopefully be 161 W. 23rd St., between Sixth and Seventh avenues. When and if this club opens, I’ll definitely check it out. Now, I ain’t going there to drink no damn wine, but I’d love to check out the live music and atmosphere! We wish them the best of luck in getting this off the ground.
