Are porn stars treated worst than rapists?

Well, it would seem that this is the case. First of all, let me say that I am not on here trying to write a post promoting porn films, the industry, or to justify any pornographic material at all. Watching porn, or not, is a decision that is yours to make. It’s all on you as none of us can see what you do in private, so work that out with your Maker.

Furthermore, seeing as though this is a Conservative Christian faith based site, my guess is that most of the readers here are not fans of porn. That is all fine and good, this post is not about making the case for porn, the post is about the absurdity of society today and how freaking jacked up our moral compass has become over the years.

I read a piece where a former porn star discussed some of the complications that come into their lives after they leave it all behind. As can be expected, one of major the issues that they encounter in a post porn world are stalkers, these psychotic individuals who have obsessively watched all of their films and think that they actually “know” this person. Never mind that much of what you see in film (theater or porn) is usually acting, and never mind the fact that porn doesn’t much lend itself to getting to know a person. These guys really believe that they know the actors, and they do not hesitate to let them know how much they love them as they peak through their window.

Another area that is touched on is establishing a professional career. Some of these individuals actually change their names and appearance in hopes of not being so recognizable. Though I would venture a guess that the names you often see associated with the films are probably not their real names, . On and on it goes, career shaming, friends untagging you from Facebook pictures because they are afraid of what people will think and more. In some cases, some companies will check your Facebook profile in order to determine whether or not to hire you.

This former porn actor shared that some friends have complained that they were not hired because of their connection with this individual. Now, I’m not saying that they “have” to hire them, I’m all for the freedom of association, but I will say that not hiring someone because they are Facebook friends with someone who did porn in the past is not something I would practice.

Who cares who your friends on Facebook are? I can safely tell you that nearly 2/3′s of the people I have on Facebook I have either never met, or haven’t seen in years. As a musician, internet, television, and radio personality, I connect with hundreds and hundreds of people on twitter, Facebook, Google and so on. Some are friends, some are fans, but none of these individuals define who I am as a person, or what I believe in. To think so would be very foolish on your part.

According to this individual, the prior career choices they practiced made more of an impact than being an ex-con In fact, there are places that reward you or push you to hire an ex-con. I’ve read several articles on the web where some jurisdictions actually try to force you to hire ex-cons or risk being hit with a lawsuit. I even covered a story where a child molester was given custody of a young child. Uhm, hello, I will not hire a damn registered child molester to watch over our children. I don’t care what your stupid liberal laws or courts say about it. That is absurd, and I assure you, if a court forced me to hire one of these animals, the person would not show up to the first day of work. You take that statement; however, you want to.

Have you ever heard of a “former porn star” activist group that forces you to hire them? The fact that criminals, who may have potentially raped a baby, have more protections in this society than an adult who consented to make adult films is insane, and it is quite telling of the current trends in this society.

We all have sex; it is how we reproduce and keep our species going. Some individuals earn a living from the activity. I’m not saying whether this is right or wrong, that’s your choice, and you may feel strongly about this one way or the other. However, I think we can all agree, or at least I would hope that we could agree, that there is absolutely no comparison between a consenting adult agreeing to make a sex film for money, and a man who forces a child to have sex with them. The fact that I can write about these two different topics and even make a comparison between them is just insane.

Some will argue that a sin is a sin, and I respect your view on that. However, I have no real problem with a person that does porn or even prostitution for that matter. These people don’t hurt anybody, except in some cases themselves and others in the industry. But in general they are not hurting anyone, and at the end of the day, whatever the reasons may be, they are CHOOSING to do this.

I do, however, have a very, very big problem with someone who rapes a child, or a woman. In my opinion, you always have the freedom of association; I’d never fight against that, but personally, I’d rather work with 100 porn stars all day every day, than to be forced to work with a rapist or a murderer. Sick society.

  • I think so. Porn star’s life is more worst than a rapist. If you have any idea about how a porn video is create, then you can imagine. It’s really really worst, it’s really really embarrassing.
