A provisional ballot is used to record a vote when there are questions about a given voter’s eligibility. A provisional ballot would be cast when:
None of these apply to me. The problem for me is that I believe both parties to be corrupt, as such I removed myself from any political affiliations. On my registration I am listed as “Not enrolled in a party.” However, this means that I am not allowed to vote in our NYC “closed primary.”
Closed primaries require that you belong to a party, and in a place like NYC, that basically means, “You are either a registered Democrat,” or you don’t vote. LOL. I say that because you can vote as a Republican, but voting Republican here is like searching for a specific grain of sand in the Sahara!
As it stands, there is a lawsuit happening right now in hopes of making my, and other provisional votes count. So, I know, and you probably know, that Hillary Clinton will most likely get all the super delegates in this city, you know, establishment, big money, and all that. But, even though the likelihood of Bernie Sanders winning is pretty much nil, you should still make your voices heard! Even if we lose this court case, we must make our voices heard!
