Religious Greetings.

Recently I was at a small gathering of Bahai members.

I was merely passing through as the event took place at my son’s home. I opened the front door and several individuals greeted me with a Bahai greeting.

I had no idea what to say in response. I humbly smiled and said “Hello guys, welcome, have a great time”. I did not know the proper response, but I assume kindness translates into any language or religion.

NYC has more religious groups than I care to count. You have Christians, Muslims, Hindus, Buddhist, Bahai, and many others along with variations thereof.

I consider myself slightly knowledgeable in many topics, but I am far, far from being all knowing. This applies to us all. We may think we know something on all subject matter.  Yet all it takes is a greeting from a religion such as the Bahai faith, to remind one how little we know.
