Trader Joe’s Chicken Asada

Trader Joe’s Chicken Asada

Y’all know how Trader Joe’s be putting out their own version of popular products, and then giving them some clever name to match the product? Well, this Chicken Asada is by “Trader Jose’s.” I have to admit, that’s a pretty funny and clever strategy that they have implemented.

So yesterday I was there to get my meal prep products, and as it was late, and I was tired, I decided to give their precooked items a try. I picked up enough meats to last me the week. I still cooked my sweet potatoes and prepared my veggies, etc. However, the meats are all like this for the week. I was busy doing laundry and cleaning so I didn’t want to get tied up working on meats.

In any case, this product saved me a lot of time on the prep. It costs a bit more than just buying and preparing the meat, but for this week, it will do. So I had it for lunch, and I enjoyed it. The chicken was moist and flavorful. The veggies were in good condition and also tasted really yummy. One pack contains enough meat and veggies for two meals, and they are not tiny or flimsy pieces, it’s a fairly good sized portion.

Physically I feel okay after eating it, no headache, no stomach issues, all good. Let’s see how the rest of the day goes on and I’ll determine if it’s something I can sporadically add to my meal plan. I prefer to prepare everything myself, but on a pinch, this could definitely work! So long as I don’t end up getting a bad case of the shits later, we’ll be all good!
