I’ve read quite a few articles on how one should write to gain readership, more comments, fans, etc.
There are as many different views on this topic as there are people alive. Some folks say “You should write as if you were casually talking with the reader, keep it light.” Others go on to advise “You should never finish the post. Leave it open and allow the comments and community dialogue to finish the piece.” While other more traditional types demand that “You should write every article perfectly, and according to the rules!”
I like to keep it light, and fun. I write reviews, posts and tech articles in a way that anyone can read and understand them. That’s what my goal is anyway. I want the reader to feel as if they are chilling with me and having a conversation. Can I write a dry, serious article? Sure, I have done this for work, and technical write ups that I have done professionally. However, doing that type of writing is not as much fun as just being yourself!
