So we tried to take my friend here for her birthday, unfortunately it happened to be the same weekend the Jets were in the playoffs. We walked in, then proceeded to walk right back out. The bar and the restaurant itself were out of control. Fun if you are there for the game, but not so much fun if you are there for a dinner and chatting. So we left.
We returned here for the Sunday before Valentine’s day. It was nice and quiet. We were seated and provided with the Valentine’s day menu.
As an appetizer I had a ceasar salad, it was a good salad. As a main course I had fish, with mashed potatoes and season vegetables. The food was delicious, it was flavorful, cooked just right, and also managed to be somewhat healthy. My fiancee had steak, mashed and the same veggies as me. Her steak was delicious as she let me try it.
The service was great, I had a yelp check in coupon which provided me a free drink, and my fiancee had a coupon for $25. They honored both of them with no questions asked or issues.
If you eat here during the summer, outside on the tables there is sometimes wonderful live music. However don’t sit too close to the building to the right because pigeons hang out up there, and they’ll drop you plenty of arial gifts. I speak from experience on that one.
I will return here, the food was great, I’m glad I live only blocks away.
