Killing Eve Final Thoughts: A Good Series with a Rushed Ending

01/29/2025, 4:21 am Angel Rodriguez 0

Just finished watching Killing Eve and enjoyed the thrilling story of an assassin and MI6. While the ending felt a bit rushed and cheesy, the series is still worth watching. Planning to read the book next to see if it offers a fresh take or different conclusion.

01/29/2025, 4:10 am Angel Rodriguez 0

Last week in my Zumba class, two participants fell—one under the influence and another with a knee issue. Remember to wear boots outside and change into dry sneakers at the gym to avoid slips. Staying safe helps everyone enjoy class without accidents!

My Wife’s Christmas Surprise: When Peppa Pig Crashed the Party

01/05/2025, 7:27 pm Angel Rodriguez 0

I planned the perfect low-key Christmas surprise for my wife, confident she’d never suspect. But then she casually asked if we could bring Peppa. When I tried to play it cool, the surprise completely unraveled. Sometimes, the best plans don’t go as expected!

A Quiet Place: Day One Review – Enjoyable but Leaves Many Questions Unanswered

01/05/2025, 7:24 pm Angel Rodriguez 0

The movie delivers enjoyable moments and strong performances but adds little to the overall story. With minimal dialogue and plenty of unanswered questions, it feels like a quick watch made for fans rather than offering new insights into the alien mystery or expanding the franchise’s plot.

Encouraged by fellow fighters, Joshua delivered a strong performance, highlighting how different styles shape outcomes. Francis’s future in boxing remains uncertain after this decisive result.

Height Expectations in Relationships: Navigating Being ‘Short’ When You Still Look Down

01/04/2025, 6:15 am Angel Rodriguez 0

I’m 5’7″ and often have to bend down to kiss my wife who’s 4’11”. People expect men to be taller, and comments about height still stick with me. I’m working on accepting myself, but those old words linger longer than I’d like.

Francis Ngannou vs Tyson Fury Fight Controversy: Was the Scoring Fair?

01/04/2025, 6:06 am Angel Rodriguez 0

Many feel Francis Ngannou was unfairly scored against Tyson Fury, especially with a judge giving Fury a 96-93 win despite being knocked down. The scoring seemed questionable, possibly biased, and didn’t fully reflect how the fight unfolded, though Ngannou did earn a big payday.

Episode 116 – BJJ Safety, Abuse Concerns, and Changing Attitudes in the Jiu Jitsu Community
by@Angelrtalk

Some time ago, I wrote a post saying I wasn’t completely comfortable with my wife training jiu jitsu with men. The reaction from many practitioners was intense. I was called insecure, and some people insisted that abuse simply doesn’t happen in the BJJ community.

Since then, I’ve seen more and more posts and discussions acknowledging that jiu jitsu has had issues with grooming and abuse, and that these problems have existed for years. It’s been interesting to watch that shift. When I first shared my concerns, a lot of higher belts and experienced practitioners dismissed my perspective. Now, many of those same types of voices openly recognize that these problems are real.

That contrast is hard to ignore. I talk about it in more detail in episode 116.

I saw something similar during my time in the military. In environments that are heavily male dominated, with very few women, the risk of misconduct can increase. My concerns were never about insecurity. They were about awareness, caution, and looking out for the people I care about.
