We just watched this movie, and it was enjoyable for what it was. That said, it did not really add much to the story. We still have no idea where these aliens came from or what they really want. It feels like a film made to continue the franchise without providing much new information.
That being said, I did enjoy the movie, and there were some standout performances. It is impressive how a film with so little dialogue can still evoke so much emotion. It is a great, quick watch, but it leaves plenty of unanswered questions and offers no real context. Overall, it comes across as another entry in the franchise aimed at entertaining fans without expanding the storyline significantly.
