Managing Aggressive Dogs: Tips for Responsible Owners to Protect Other Pets on Walks

I can only imagine how tough it must be to have a dog that is dog aggressive. I sympathize with those who are in that difficult situation. That being said, it’s important to be aware and cautious when you bring your pet out for a walk or into shared spaces like dog parks. Please pay attention.

I’ve seen some dog owners just staring at their phones, holding the leash loosely with little control. More than once, their dogs who are fine with people but aggressive with other dogs have lunged at my poor baby girl, Peppa.

Let me make it clear: if one of your dogs ever hurts my baby girl, I will be extremely concerned and will take appropriate action. I’m always careful with other dogs, making sure they’re safe before letting them near her. But there have been close calls with big dogs, and it raises my stress and anxiety significantly. So please, pay attention to your dog when you’re walking them, especially if they tend to be aggressive toward other dogs.
