Into the Badlands is a show that AMC was pushing really, really hard! They intelligently played the trailer severals times during The Walking Dead, the subway stations here in NYC were plastered with Into the badlands posters, and of course they used the internet and social media.
So far I have watched two episodes of the show, and there is no denying that I am hooked. The story line is quite interesting, the characters are proving to be quite captivating, and they wasted no time at all getting into the nitty gritty of the show. They have already shown us that there is more to Sonny than just killing, but that when and if he needs to, he can and will kill you.
The young character with special powers is being developed nicely, and they didn’t hold back in showing his abilities very early on. This is a good thing for generating long term interest.
If you are a fan of martial arts, or simply enjoy a good fight and some drama, check out Into the badlands. You will not be disappointed! AMC, as well as netflix and many other cable channels have really stepped up their series selections. AMC has The Walking Dead, Fear the Walking dead, and now Into the Badlands. Great shows all around!
