I keep seeing posts online that say men are intimidated by smart women. I’m not going to produce some high level report on this, but I will share my opinion based on my own experiences.
I think that human beings are generally intimidated by people who they perceive may be smarter than them. They are intimidated by individuals who hold higher positions than they do. In fact, they are intimidated by individuals who may be larger, stronger, or more attractive than they are.
I believe this to be true regardless of sex. I am no more intimidated by a woman of intellect than I am by a man of intellect. Though I do my best not to let intimidation take hold, I am a human being and therefore susceptible to human emotions, intimidation being one of them.
Do I believe men are exclusively intimidated by smart women? No, I do not. Is it possible in some cases? Absolutely.
