Ashin of the North

This show is a prequel to Korean zombie thriller, Kingdom. It reveals the roots of how this all began.

Before the zombie apocalypse occurs, Ashin’s father was framed for a crime he didn’t commit. As a result, her whole village is pretty much killed and burned to the ground.

Ashin becomes really angry about this, and she wants revenge. Understandably so. For some time, she isn’t entirely clear on what the hell is going on. But once she learns the truth, she is responsible for starting this whole zombie thing with the plant.

She makes those people pay big time, but unfortunately, everyone suffers, even innocents. But that’s how it kind of goes with zombie apocalypses and all. If you have enjoyed Kingdom, you’ll like this prequel.
