Boondocks is one of those shows which was way ahead of its time. They were talking about the prison complex, inequality, Uncle Ruckus, and all those topics before they became “cool” to discuss.
They were only on point about social issues, they also had no problem with calling out their own superstars when it was necessary. R-Kelly has been getting a lot of press this week, but Boondocks has been there, done that.
“I did battle with ignorance today, and ignorance won!”
