When I was a kid, I had braces. I was tormented over it. Also, they physically hurt and tore up my mouth. At one point I got fed up with the whole thing and I took out a set of pliers. I then ripped those braces from my mouth. One by one, the crown, the wire, all of it. Then I simply ghosted the dentist. This ended up costing me like 7 grand as I had to pay out of pocket for Invisalign and braces down the road as an adult. Instead of the 100% free-for-me Medicaid which I had when I was a kid. Live and learn. But at the time, I had to do what I had to do.
