I would like to send my deepest condolences to my fellow NYCTalking writer and good friend Monique Rodriguez, along with prayers and condolences to the Cotto family.
This weekend a beautiful little boy named Josia Cotto passed away due to brain cancer. The family, friends and community are understandably devastated over his loss.
Though I never met or heard of brave little Josia until this weekend, when I read about his passing on Monique’s wall and I saw the picture of this smiling young man, my heart sank and I shed tears of sorrow over his loss as well. Even now as I write this post I fight back tears on this subway car.
I could never understand why children are brought into this world to suffer and ultimately have their lives cut short.
My prayers and deepest condolences are with Monique and all the loved ones of Josia Cotto.

God bless you little man, we never met, but you touched my heart and it seems the hearts of many others. Dios te bendiga.
Just a life long New Yorker sharing the journey through my lens. Please take note of a post’s date. The views I express here are subject to change and evolving as I grow and learn.
