So despite my initial impression of the new Call of duty, Vanguard which you can read here, I continued to try and play the game. I really didn’t want to give up on it so fast.
So after a few more hours of playing, I no longer hate the game. It’s actually become really fun to play. I’ve logged quite a few hours of game play during the pc beta. I even maxed out a few of the guns. Well, at least as much as they let me, level 30. I’ve found that the maps are fairly easy to learn too. They are not overwhelming and pretty fun.
I suppose that it was just a matter of getting used to the new controls, the new maps, the newish feel and also my sensitivity setting were all jacked up. Once I fixed that and played a bit more, it became a lot of fun. It has some modes like “Patrol” which are really fun. You have to find, move with, and protect the patrol zone.
So yes, I initially shit on the game, but once but I got a bit more comfortable with it, it became loads of fun. So I pretty much played it all weekend, and though I still like Cold War a lot, I’ve fallen in love with this game and I will definitely be keeping it.
The beta is over now and I can’t wait for it to officially game version to drop!
Bronx Raised Puerto Rican who dances in pink tights! Please note the date on a post, over the years my views have evolved. I’ve kept my old articles to show my growth. I started on the left, then went slightly to the right, I went solo and then back to the left. It’s all about growth and progress. We live, we learn, we grow. Peace and love.
