I just finished watching Castlevania: Nocturne, and it was impressive. The first Castlevania series on Netflix set a high bar, so I expected this one to be strong as well. The animation quality, storytelling, and character development are all well done, much like in the original series.

The story features a Belmont, which is a nice nod to the series’ legacy, though it doesn’t include any of the characters from the first animated show. The new characters bring fresh dynamics and conflicts, making the series engaging. At the end, there’s a surprise that fans of the franchise will likely appreciate. I won’t spoil anything, but the show is worth watching.

The action scenes are intense and well choreographed, and the gothic atmosphere is effectively captured. The voice acting adds depth and emotion to the characters. It’s clear a lot of effort went into producing the series.

Season two has already been announced. Given the quality and the way season one ended, there are many interesting directions the story could take. I’m looking forward to seeing what happens next. If you haven’t started watching Castlevania: Nocturne yet, it’s a solid pick for animated series fans.
