Call of Duty Vanguard Updated Thoughts: From Doubt to Enjoyment After the Beta

09/23/2021, 11:57 pm Angel Rodriguez 0

After giving Call of Duty Vanguard more time, I found it really fun to play. The maps are easy to learn, the new modes like Patrol add excitement, and adjusting my settings helped a lot. I’m excited for the full release and definitely plan to keep playing.

Call of Duty Vanguard Beta Review: Initial Impressions and Concerns

09/23/2021, 11:12 pm Angel Rodriguez 0

I was really excited for Call of Duty Vanguard, but the beta left me disappointed. The gameplay felt messy, guns were hard to control, and overall it seemed like a step back compared to Cold War. Hoping for improvements before release, but considering a refund if not.

How to Outsmart Campers and Improve Your K/D in Games

07/30/2021, 7:27 am Angel Rodriguez 0

Campers can be frustrating, but the real problem is when we keep going back to their spots. Instead of chasing revenge, try moving to a new location or approaching from a different angle. Swallow your pride, learn from the loss, and watch your K/D improve.

Razer Blackshark V2 Pro Wireless Headset Review: Good Sound but Overpriced

07/30/2021, 12:10 am Angel Rodriguez 0

The Razer Blackshark V2 Pro wireless headset sounds good and has a decent mic, but it’s basically the wired version without a cord. I couldn’t justify the high price compared to other wireless options that worked just as well for less.

Razer Blackshark V2 X Review: A Solid Wired Headset with Excellent Sound and Mic Quality

07/29/2021, 11:50 pm Angel Rodriguez 0

This Razer wired headset impressed me with its great fit, sound quality, and excellent mic. Though I eventually switched to wireless, this affordable and reliable headset is a solid choice if you prefer a wired connection without dealing with annoying cables.

Logitech G935 Wireless Gaming Headset Review: Comfort, Sound, and Competition Insights

07/29/2021, 7:45 am Angel Rodriguez 0

I tested the Logitech G935 wireless headset after the wired G432. The sound was decent but lacked bass and depth, and the mic didn’t impress my teammates. Comfort was good and setup was easy, but with strong competition, this one just felt okay without really standing out.

Logitech G432 Gaming Headset Review: Solid Brand but Lacking Immersive Sound Quality

07/29/2021, 7:21 am Angel Rodriguez 0

During the pandemic, I tested many wired headsets at Bestbuy and finally settled on the Steelseries Arctis 1 wireless. While I liked Logitech as a brand, their G432 headset didn’t deliver the bass or immersive sound I wanted, sounding a bit treble-heavy compared to others.

Why Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Hooked Me After Just One Game

04/27/2021, 10:44 pm Angel Rodriguez 0

Jumping into Call of Duty late, I tried Cold War after dealing with hacked stats in older games. The 5-day trial hooked me instantly, and playing with friends from Modern Warfare 2 made it even better. If you’re a COD fan, definitely give it a shot!

Episode 116 – BJJ Safety, Abuse Concerns, and Changing Attitudes in the Jiu Jitsu Community
by@Angelrtalk

Some time ago, I wrote a post saying I wasn’t completely comfortable with my wife training jiu jitsu with men. The reaction from many practitioners was intense. I was called insecure, and some people insisted that abuse simply doesn’t happen in the BJJ community.

Since then, I’ve seen more and more posts and discussions acknowledging that jiu jitsu has had issues with grooming and abuse, and that these problems have existed for years. It’s been interesting to watch that shift. When I first shared my concerns, a lot of higher belts and experienced practitioners dismissed my perspective. Now, many of those same types of voices openly recognize that these problems are real.

That contrast is hard to ignore. I talk about it in more detail in episode 116.

I saw something similar during my time in the military. In environments that are heavily male dominated, with very few women, the risk of misconduct can increase. My concerns were never about insecurity. They were about awareness, caution, and looking out for the people I care about.
