Anaconda Brace Review: Pros, Cons, and Sizing Challenges from a User Experience

02/17/2025, 4:54 am Angel Rodriguez 0

I tried the Anaconda Brace knee and ankle supports during their Black Friday sale, but the XL knee brace bunched up and the ankle support didn’t feel any better than my current one. High shipping costs made returns or trying other sizes not worth it for me.

Dr. Paul Corona Review: My Experience with The Corona Protocol and Medication Journey

07/28/2024, 7:59 pm Angel Rodriguez 0

I had a positive experience with Dr. Paul, who is caring and genuinely wants to help. Although the Corona Protocol didn’t work for me due to medication sensitivity, I recommend him for his fair pricing, dedication, and thoughtful approach to patient care.

Nieves Latin Dance Studio Review: Enjoyable Salsa Class with Unique Partner Rotations

07/03/2024, 1:50 am Angel Rodriguez 0

Tried a beginner salsa class with my wife and her coworkers. The instruction was solid, but I didn’t like constantly switching partners. I wanted to connect with my wife through dance, not jump between strangers. Still, the class was fun and well run for those okay with rotating partners.

World War Armies PC Keyboard Glitch and Matchmaking Problems Frustrate Players

05/01/2024, 12:26 am Angel Rodriguez 0

I love playing World War Armies, but the keyboard randomly stops working during gameplay, which is really frustrating on PC. Matchmaking needs improvement too, especially matching players who pick the same map. These issues hurt the experience and definitely need fixing.

World War Armies Review: Why Matchmaking Needs Improvement for Better Gameplay Experience

04/29/2024, 1:10 am Angel Rodriguez 2

I enjoy World War Armies as a simple real-time strategy game, but tough matchmaking and powerful opponents can make it frustrating. I hope the developers add fair quitting options, rematches, and better balance to make battles more fun and less one-sided for all players.

Caught the NYC screening of Demon Slayer’s Hashira Training arc. Despite arriving late, we scored great seats, snacks, and awesome posters. The film dives into intense training and emotional moments, especially with Nezuko’s evolving role. Don’t miss this incredible arc now streaming on Netflix!

Strays Movie Review: A Heartwarming and Hilarious Canine Adventure

03/01/2024, 3:28 am Angel Rodriguez 0

Strays is a touching and funny movie about a loyal dog’s adventure after being left behind in the city. Full of heart and humor, it’s a story of friendship and resilience that will leave you satisfied. Definitely worth watching if you haven’t seen it yet.

Episode 116 – BJJ Safety, Abuse Concerns, and Changing Attitudes in the Jiu Jitsu Community
by@Angelrtalk

Some time ago, I wrote a post saying I wasn’t completely comfortable with my wife training jiu jitsu with men. The reaction from many practitioners was intense. I was called insecure, and some people insisted that abuse simply doesn’t happen in the BJJ community.

Since then, I’ve seen more and more posts and discussions acknowledging that jiu jitsu has had issues with grooming and abuse, and that these problems have existed for years. It’s been interesting to watch that shift. When I first shared my concerns, a lot of higher belts and experienced practitioners dismissed my perspective. Now, many of those same types of voices openly recognize that these problems are real.

That contrast is hard to ignore. I talk about it in more detail in episode 116.

I saw something similar during my time in the military. In environments that are heavily male dominated, with very few women, the risk of misconduct can increase. My concerns were never about insecurity. They were about awareness, caution, and looking out for the people I care about.
