I had seen this movie once before, but somehow we decided to sit and watch it again. Mostly because the lady thought we hadn’t seen it yet and I wasn’t entirely sure. So it was just as weird the second time as it was the first.
To be entirely honest, I don’t totally understand this film. Like even after watching it twice, there’s so much I just don’t know. For instance, who is the dude in the red hoodie? Is he real? Did that really happen? What exactly is happening on the cell phones and why is it doing what it’s doing? Who’s behind this phenomena? Why are they attacking or not attacking people? Why do they walk in a circle? And on and on I can go with the damn questions left behind. I just don’t get it.
Don’t even get me started on the end of the film! So what exactly happened there? No clue! Even reading up on the book’s ending, there really are no big answers provided. Though it is slightly different, it leaves me with a dozen questions all the same.
I don’t know what to say? I mean we sat and watched it twice, and I don’t hate the film. But it’s kind of all over the place and if you didn’t gather this yet, it will leave with you a lot of questions by the end. I think the same can be said for the book too. Though I didn’t read the whole book, I just tried to find information about the ending. That’s how I learned that while different, it too leaves you with plenty of questions.
If you have time to kill, check out the film. Hell, maybe you can answer my damn questions!
