Choreography With Michael Blaide

I met Michael at The Big Apple Indie Music Series. He was front and center listening to all of the performances that day. The thing that stood out most to me was the blonde hair, and the fact that he was really listening to the music. You can tell when a person is really listening, and for a music artist, that’s kind of a big deal.

After our set, he took sometime to chat with my sister and give us some pointers. One piece of advice that he provided was that I should keep my eyes open, and look towards the audience more. I took this to heart, and since then my eyes are open, except for those moments where I’m really intense, and the eyes must follow my heart! Closing my eyes was one of the ways I dealt with the fear that I feel in front of those large groups, but his critique helped me work beyond that.

That’s how we met.

Since then we have kept in contact, and I recently came upon this dope video that Michael Blaide made. This is a dance choreography that I found pretty damn cool. I’m not much of a dancer myself, and I don’t know much about the dancer culture. However, I can appreciate the art and I do enjoy a nice choreographed dance routine!

Check this out, it’s pretty dope!
