I’ve always been more of a Marvel guy when it comes to comics. The few times I tried DC, it wasn’t really my thing. However, that hasn’t kept me from giving it a shot.
One of my buddies posted a screenshot of a Titans comic that caught my eye. After checking to see if I needed to read a bunch of other comics to follow the story, I decided to give it a try.
Turns out my buddy was right—I was able to read and enjoy the first comic in this new series. There were a few nods to backstory, but even so, it was enjoyable.
It seems the Justice League is no longer active. I’m not sure why, but now the Titans are the team protecting the world. Peacemaker makes a cameo, asking them to protect the United States, and they say they protect the world. He then reports this to Waller.
Speaking of Waller, it’s interesting how her character, although human, holds significant influence over many powerful heroes. I’m curious to see how her role develops, especially with major changes like the Justice League’s disappearance and updates around the Flash, who is now Wally. I’m not exactly sure what happened there.
Overall, this was a solid introduction, and I’m interested in following the series.
