I had a laptop go bad. It was still under warranty, so I sent it in to Lenovo for repair. Lenovo doesn’t handle the repairs directly, they use a third party vendor to fulfill the work, but that part of the process was fine. The vendor did their job, then handed the laptop off to FedEx for delivery back to me.
That’s where things fell apart.
FedEx allegedly had the package, and then nothing happened. No tracking updates. No calls. No communication of any kind. Two months went by and I still didn’t have my laptop. I followed up repeatedly with both FedEx and the vendor, asking them to track it down, but nothing got resolved.
It took months to straighten out and finally get the device back in my hands. Between the shipping delays, the vendor confusion, and the courier miscommunication, what should have been a simple replacement turned into a long, frustrating ordeal. It’s a reminder that even the biggest retailers and logistics companies can drop the ball when you need them most.
At the end of the day, there was no accountability. No refund, no allowance, nothing. They just moved on like it never happened.
FedEx delivers my meal prep now too, and most weeks at least two of the meals show up damaged. So I call it in to Mom’s Meals, and they credit me for the loss every time. I don’t like being hard on a business, but if a courier can’t be bothered to handle the products with care, I’m going to keep calling it in until something changes.
