Discussion About The Muppets Can Lead To Anti Latino Racism? Apparently So!

After writing a recent article for Clashdaily, I was engaged in a debate about The Muppets with some folks over on the conservative leaning website. Clearly, you can imagine that my views of late are not well received by some of their readers. The point we were discussing was whether or not the new Muppets show was offensive or inappropriate for children.

During this discussion, somehow my Latino background becomes a matter of relevance! I mean, you know those terrible Latinos and the perverted Muppets go hand in hand. After all, didn’t Ann Coulter say that we are all rapists?

Naturally, I asked the gentleman what my being Latino has to do with anything, and naturally his true colors come to light. Meanwhile, this guy is telling me that God will judge me because I support the Muppets, and all that I say and think. All the while he has animosity towards me simply because I am a Latino.

I often wonder how God feels about hypocrisy and bigotry? Check out this exchange.

It always baffles me when someone who claims to be a God loving American refers to Latinos as invaders. Or when a Trump Supporter spits on the face of a Latino protester. Or when a Trump supporter tells a U.S. Citizen to get out of “his” country. Don’t misunderstand me, I’m a proud American, but I’m also a Latino, and before all of that, I am a human being. Am I wrong in stating that if anyone is an invader, it is us, the Americans who invade the most? This country is a great country, but people like this guy, well, they make the country a little less great.

I’m not anti-American people, and much of what I have written in the past still stands true. However, don’t get angry at me because I’ve learned a lot more, have evolved, and I speak my truth.
