Here at NYCTalking we have always stood by our veterans. Regardless of how I personally feel about the wars, many of which I have not supported, I always say that we should not take this out on the veterans.
I’m as big on equality as the next guy, but when we treat veterans badly, it really bothers me. No offense to my independent ladies out there, but it bothers me even more when they do it to our queens!
I believe that a veteran should never be homeless! These folks put their lives, bodies, families, and mental health on the line for this nation. Sure it’s voluntary, sure the wars are crap, but if you didn’t do it, you should at least acknowledge the sacrifices they make.
Again, supporting the veterans/troops, does not equate to supporting the crap money making wars our corrupt leaders send our people into! But we are not getting into that topic, you can listen to my talk show if you want that!
A friend of mine runs a house for female veterans, and she is having a comedy event in order to raise funds to help keep the house going. The details for the event are below, and I hope you guys can make it. It promises to be a great evening, and it is for a good cause. I’m planning to be there, if you stop by, please say hi!
I’m an emotional guy, this video pretty much moved me to tears!
We Stand for Female Veterans – An Evening of Comedy to Benefit Homeless Female Veterans
