We live in a world where negative news rules the air waves. I know this because I often cover such news. With so much negative energy out there, sometimes we need our faith in humanity restored! This post does just that. I was nearly moved to tears when I read this Pakistani man’s message to his brother in Iran.
Politically, the United States relationship with Iran is shaky at best. However, this does not speak for the people that live there, the average citizen. Just like it doesn’t speak for the majority of us here in the U.S. At the end of the day, we are all just regular people trying to survive and provide for our families.
I love that Brandon Stanton (Humans of New York) is traveling throughout the Middle East and sharing these real people with us. I will admit that I was worried for his safety, but thankfully he has proven me wrong. His travels are showing us what the media does not, the real people of these countries.
Did you have a particularly hard day? Read this post and your faith in humanity will be restored!
I’m a Bronx Raised Puerto Rican who dances in pink tights! Please do take note of the date on a post, over the years my views have evolved and they continue to do so. It’s all about growth and progress. Peace.
