Gmail App Reply Issue Fix: How to Bypass the Smart Compose Screen Block Easily

I recently encountered an annoying glitch in a very specific use scenario.

I installed the Gmail app for the first time, and once everything was set up, I wanted to reply to an email. While trying to reply to said email, as soon as I hit reply, the smart compose feature popped up and completely covered the screen. To make matters worse, the keyboard covered the smart compose “OK” button, leaving me unable to get past that screen. There was no way to reply to the email or remove the screen. I was stuck.

After some trial and error, I found a simple workaround. Instead of replying directly to an email, create a new email first. This gives you more space and helps work around the smart compose pop-up. Once you’ve handled the prompt, you can reply to emails without issues.

I realize this is a very specific issue, but if you ever get stuck with the smart compose screen blocking your way while trying to reply, this trick can save you time and frustration.
