Gym Motivation: Compliments that Count

I was on the elliptical machine doing cardio on Tuesday when a gentleman I know and often see at the gym came over to me. He looked at me and said, “Hey Angel, you look really great. I can see the progress. Your body is well-balanced and quite symmetrical.”

I nodded at him and thanked him. I explained that I was working hard at restoring my body to even a shadow of what it once was and that I greatly appreciated his highly detailed compliment. It meant a lot to hear that my efforts were paying off, and his words were a great motivation to keep pushing forward.

We chatted for a bit longer, discussing workout routines and fitness goals. It was encouraging to have someone else notice the improvements I had made. As he walked away, I felt a renewed sense of determination, ready to tackle the rest of my workout with even more energy.
