I don’t know why I’m bothering to write about this series, considering that Netflix said they won’t be renewing it for another season. This is why I prefer watching films and series that wrap up their stories when they finish. You have these shows and movies made, and they leave you hanging, and sometimes they never come back. The same thing happened with Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief — they never finished the movies. It’s frustrating, but I’ve already picked up the books anyway. So far, it is entertaining.
The series is actually pretty good. Granted, there are a few things about it that bother me. For instance, as mentioned before, I really don’t like Jessica Byrne. I don’t get why the good guys always try to give the bad guys a chance at redemption or let them live. Annalise could have stopped Jessica, but she doesn’t, which means the conflict continues. It’s a common storytelling choice, similar to dynamics seen in other franchises, though it can feel like it prolongs situations that might otherwise be resolved more decisively.
Those parts aside, I’d say it is a good show. Really entertaining and despite finishing after one season, still totally worth a watch.
