2014 will bring to midtown NYC the long-awaited Hip Hop Hall of Fame. The exact location and opening dates are expected to be announced in July 2012.
There will be up to 30 exhibits, including posters, clothing artifacts, holograms, and learning centers for young people.
Run DMC and DJ Red Alert will be among the artists inducted into the hall.
When asked about the current economic conditions and whether the museum can thrive, the hall’s business manager Bobby Fisher stated that they have taken this into consideration and are confident the museum will attract both tourists and locals.
We look forward to checking out this new museum, as NYC is widely recognized as the birthplace of hip hop.
