Who knew that Hornets Vs. Honeybees would engage in brutal wars like the one you are about to watch. Well, it’s not really a war, more like a massacre. One where the honeybees get the short end of the stick.
According to this documentary, 30 Hornets can slay a colony of 30,000 honeybees in one hour. Those are some pretty damn brutal statistics. I mean, damn, that’s brutal. This footage shows the fierce battle and the end result.
However, in Japan, as if driven by the Samurai spirit, the honeybees have developed a technique to capture and kill the hornet scouts before they can mark and thereby doom their colony. These guys cook that sucker alive using their own bodies! Take a look to see this insanity.
I think that the European Honeybees need to get with their Japanese cousins and exchange techniques!
