Okay, so I have to be honest and tell you guys that I have been reluctant to start this series. The Game of Thrones finale left a really bad taste in my mouth. In fact, last night as I tried to sleep I kept thinking about how frustrating it was that Daenerys lost her mind, most of her dragons died, Jon Snow was banished, and all those years of storytelling felt like they amounted to nothing. That was a tough pill to swallow. Not to mention that the scenes were so dark they were nearly impossible to see. That was a real letdown, HBO.

Anyway, because of that, I was truly reluctant to start this series. I am worried about investing another 10 years into a show, only to feel completely let down all over again. But I went ahead and started it anyway, and yes, I am enjoying it. Though I also enjoyed Game of Thrones, right up until that dreaded finale.

So I do wonder how many seasons this will run. Will they stretch it out long enough to derail another potentially great series? Only time will tell. For now, I am genuinely enjoying the show and plan to keep watching. But HBO, please take care of this story. I am giving this another shot against my better judgment, and I really hope it pays off this time.
