I remember years ago I watched a news story about a young man who took several shot gun blasts, and lived to tell. He was befriended and setup by a guy who was trying to make his bones to join a gang. The initiation required him killing an innocent victim. For no reason at all, just kill him, and you are a member. The story was nuts, and difficult to watch.
One of my boys, Charlie Scott shared out a video today. Scott hardly ever shares out someone else’s work. As a fellow rapper, if Scott shared it, then it’s worth listening to. I clicked play and this story began to play out. I realized “Holy crap,” I know this story I remember watching this. This is storytelling at its finest and I had to share this with you guys.
