Jungle Cruise

This is your typical Disney movie, they have the typical Disney soundtrack, the wholesome humor, some exciting adventure, a little bit of emotional stimulation, a villain who you know will never actually win, and these days, our current wrestler gone action superstar, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Now, how’s that for a long sentence?

The story revolves around an old legend where they are seeking out a petal which can heal all kinds of physical ailments. This petal is found in a tree hidden somewhere in the Amazon. Oh and it only comes to life during a very specific time period by the way. Yeah, it’s one of them iffy trees. LOL.

Dwayne Johnson is a Jungle Cruise operator who signs up to take Lily and her brother on their quest for this magical petal. But as is the case with Disney, there is always more than meets the eye. You’ll have to watch the film for that as I don’t want to drop any spoilers.

So this film has several villains along the way, as well as some comic relief goofy guys. They range from your typical evil war villain to some greedy boat business guy and her brother who though a bit of a coward, packs a solid punch!

As you know I do not like to drop spoilers in my quick reviews, but rather I offer to you whether or not I recommend watching the film. Jungle Cruise was a nice and entertaining film that I believe would be fun for the whole family. Being a Disney film, it is my belief that children can watch this safely, but with the understanding that there is some creepy stuff that may scare young children depending on how sensitive they are.

Overall, this is a great film and I highly recommend it.
