Craig Dershowitz has paid over $60,000 in legal fees, his life savings in an attempt to get his dog from his ex girlfriend. He claims the dog is his, and the woman states the dog is hers.
He appeared on the today show this morning with his lawyer, making his case as well as asking for donations to assist with his legal fees.
The show also interviewed the ex girlfriend and she insisted the dog was hers and that this was a play at revenge since she left him.
In the court system this is viewed as a property dispute since the dog is legally considered property. At this point they are each trying to establish judicial jurisdiction in their own state.
So I guess the dog named Knuckles is truly man’s best friend.
