Masters of the Universe Revelation

I don’t know why people were criticizing this show, I think it was pretty good. From my reading, I found that some people were tripping because it was focused on Teela instead of He-Man. Here’s the thing though, the show is not called He-Man and The Masters of the Universe, it is called Masters of the Universe. So the fact that the show focused on Teela rather than Adam didn’t bother me at all. I guess some people took issue because they thought it would be a He-Man series.

I thought the story was good and they didn’t have to try too hard to shift the focus into someone else. It seemed fairly natural given the events that took place. I don’t really remember how the characters were in the old series, so I can’t speak to whether or not they kept her demeanor the same, but I enjoyed it.

The majority of the series focuses on an unlikely unity between foes of old, both good and evil as they try and restore magic to Eternia. I actually liked seeing both sides unite and I was really impressed with Evil Lyn’s character the most. She was kind of dope in this show.

I do not want to drop any spoilers about the series, but I will tell you this, I was totally cool and on board with everything that was happening, that is until the very end. They dropped a few bombs on us that I certainly was not expecting and it really, really, really pissed me off.

I think the show is worth a watch and I will continue to watch it when the next season comes out. But I should state that I think the creators are really some grade A level assholes for what they did at the end of the series. Not cool, not cool at all.
