When first watching this film, one might be a bit confused about what’s happening. However, after a few minutes, the story becomes clearer.
The movie follows a man who has decided to stop living after the passing of his wife. He feels responsible for her death, as well as for a car accident that claimed several other lives.
Before ending his life, he wants to improve the lives of several people. He goes on a mission to determine if certain individuals are genuinely good before helping them.
The story takes a turn when he falls in love with one of his “good help candidates,” and she develops feelings for him as well.
This film is very touching and thought provoking. It has the potential to evoke strong emotions and encourage reflection. Although it is not a new release, it comes highly recommended.
Will Smith and Rosario Dawson deliver compelling performances in their roles. Consider watching “7 Pounds” as you may find it worthwhile.
