Mr. McMahon is a series that details the rise of what is now called the WWE. It talks about its history and how it evolved into the massive mega-empire that it is today.
The WWE would not be what it is if it weren’t for Vince McMahon and his ideas about how wrestling should be. Presently, Mr. McMahon is dealing with a lot of issues and had to resign from the WWE due to pressure, since he no longer outright owns the company.
It’s fascinating to hear the stories that these wrestlers share. Even during a time when we thought these guys were larger than life, not only were they personally struggling, but so was the organization as a whole.
I remember watching WrestleMania shows in my childhood with my old man, thinking these events were the greatest things in the world. We had no clue that these businesses were struggling or how difficult it was for all the performers.
If you’re a fan of wrestling and want an interesting behind-the-scenes look, I highly recommend checking this documentary out. Some people claim Vince is a monster, while others say it’s just a hit piece on him. I have no opinion either way, but I really enjoyed learning more about the business and some of my favorite wrestlers.
By the way, Mr. McMahon, if you’re reading this, please shave off that weird mustache and stop doing whatever you’re doing to your eyebrows. That just looks mad weird, my boy.
Just a life long New Yorker sharing the journey through my lens. Please take note of a post’s date. The views I express here are subject to change and evolving as I grow and learn.
