Excited to share that I’ve recently started a new job, and it’s been an incredibly rewarding experience so far. I’m closing out my second week on a bustling service desk, and the days fly by with the amount of activity we handle.
After a year away from work, there were concerns about how quickly I could get back into the groove. However, those worries vanished on day one as I seamlessly integrated back into the work environment. Despite being new, it feels like I’ve been part of this team for much longer.
I’ve made it a priority to adapt quickly and contribute meaningfully. While I have a natural inclination to take charge and handle tasks independently, I’ve realized the importance of leaning on my team and asking for help when necessary. With 800 busy users, this is definitely a collective effort.
This job aligns perfectly with my strengths and preferences, and the team has been incredibly supportive as I navigate this new chapter. The fact that it’s across the street from my home is an added bonus.
I’m grateful for the support and opportunities that have come my way. Feeling truly fortunate to be in this position.

Just a life long New Yorker sharing the journey through my lens. Please take note of a post’s date. The views I express here are subject to change and evolving as I grow and learn.
