About a year or two ago I got a Nintendo NES Classic Mini. The controllers that come with it are nice but they are wired, and the wire is very short. To play, you have to be right in front of the television. This isn’t very practical, especially considering that most gaming systems are wireless these days. Also, our TVs are no longer tiny screens but large monitors meant to be viewed from a distance. Maybe they were going for nostalgia, but the control wire feels too short.
So I decided to buy a wireless controller. I got the Nyko Miniboss controller and it didn’t work well for me. After that, I chose to get a Bluetooth receiver instead. I went with 8Bitdo because they have a good reputation. I purchased it online, and when it arrived, I hooked it up with my classic Wii controller and have been playing that way since. This little gadget is quite clever and works really well. I haven’t had any problems with it at all.
If you want to use any Bluetooth controllers with the NES Classic, this little gadget is a must have. I don’t recall the exact price, but it wasn’t expensive and was very easy to set up. This device has the NYCtalking.com seal of approval.
