NYC Had a Rough Winter But the Shift Is Finally Here

It is March 8th and it already feels like the weather is starting to shift. I am out walking and I just had to unzip my coat, and I am about to take my hat off too. New York City had a pretty rough winter this year, so I absolutely welcome this transition to warmer temperatures.

Yesterday evening we were coming back from the bathhouse and noticed a lot of people out with no coat at all, just short sleeve shirts and crop tops. I understand the enthusiasm, I really do. We are all ready to be done with winter and move on, but it is not exactly summer just yet. And it was not only the younger crowd either. People of all ages were really committing to the look a little early if you ask me. I get it though. The energy shifts when the weather does.

Either way I am not complaining. I look forward to the warm weather, lighter clothes, and just that overall feeling that comes with the season changing. I also just realized we lost an hour to daylight saving time. I had actually tripped a circuit recently and thought I had messed up my clocks, but no, we genuinely lost an hour. That explains a lot.

Here is hoping our summer is not too sweltering this year. Given the weather extremes we have been seeing lately, you just never know what you are going to get. But for now I will take this. Spring, please stay.
