Razer Blackshark V2 Pro Wireless Headset Review: Good Sound but Overpriced

So this is the wireless version of the Razer Blackshark V2 X series. My first issue was that as soon as I plugged it into my laptop, I got a blue screen of death. That was quite the introduction to this headset.

In case you’re wondering about the hairnet, it’s because my hair was getting long and ending up on the floor, the carpet, and all over the house. Someone suggested I try a hairnet, so I gave it a shot. Clearly I’ll try anything once.

If you read my review of the wired headset, everything I said there applies here. The headset sounds good, the mic is decent, and I really like the form factor. This headset is basically the same as the wired one, except it’s wireless.

The main reason I didn’t keep it is that I can’t justify why it costs so much more than the other wireless headsets I tried. Part of that is probably the brand name, but I want a product that performs well and is reasonably priced. Overall it’s a solid headset, but compared to the other five wireless headsets I tested, there’s nothing about this one that makes it worth nearly twice the price.
