I just re-watched this movie as I’m on this watching old movies binge. Having recently read the comic as you can see here, the story is significantly different though similar in some areas. I really enjoyed the comic, but I also think they did a pretty damn good job with the film. Even though they did deviate somewhat from the story. If you haven’t seen this old film, you should take some time and check it out. It’s pretty entertaining.
The story is about a retired CIA agent (the best of the best) who the people controlling the government puppets wants to silence (read that kill) because of what he knows. This premise is slightly similar to the comic, but they took some liberties with the story. Hell, they even added a love interest and some other really cool characters that I didn’t see in the comic. There’s a good deal of comic relief and some heartwarming portions of the film too. Make no mistake though, it is a comedic action thriller. Check it out over a weekend or something, it’s pretty dope.
