Red One is an action packed holiday movie with a bit of a twist. Picture Fast & Furious but with Christmas added in. The Rock teams up with Chris Evans to save Christmas from being completely ruined. You’ve got wild stunts, a globe trotting adventure, and a villain trying to crush the holiday spirit.
Santa’s not your typical jolly guy either. He’s got some serious edge, and his operation is more impressive than you might expect. The movie keeps things lighthearted, which works well because it’s all about the fun, the banter, and over the top action.
Is it a new holiday classic? Probably not. But if you’re looking for something loud, goofy, and entertaining to get in the Christmas spirit, it does the job.
