I don’t know if you need to watch earlier versions of the movie to fully grasp this one, but I decided to just sit and watch it. I was able to follow along with everything as if it were a standalone series, so there’s that. I think you can just watch it.
I think the animation is absolutely phenomenal, they did such a great job with the art work. I mean, it looks so damn real. The story was a pretty dope storyline too. You have your typical bad guy in a position of power, doing bad things to good people. The big problem here being that these bad things are zombies and zombies are a bad look. Then you have your would be heroes, anti-heroes, and everything in between.
Within this story, there is a bit of uncertainty as to how some things are happening, but as you progress in the four part series, it all starts to fall together. I’m glad it wasn’t too long, and honestly, save for some dramatic fighting, I think this could have possibly even been a 3 part series, or a 90 minute movie.
I’m trying my best to not drop any spoilers, but I can say that I enjoyed it and it is definitely worth a watch.
